Why the eyes are a piece of the brain and how they reset stress

If you are staring at a screen for 8 hours a day, your brain is locked in 'Threat Tracking' mode. What is happening as a result is a chronic state of high alert that you can't think your way out of.

The Eyes are Brain Piece

The eyes are the only part of the brain that sits outside the skull. They are a direct input to your nervous system. Narrow, focal vision signals 'emergency.' Wide, panoramic vision signals 'safety.'

The 30-Second Proof: The Horizon Shift

Try this: Look up from your screen and find a point at least 20 feet away. Now, without moving your eyes, let your vision go soft so you can see the far left and far right of the room at the same time. This is called Panoramic Vision. It is a biological impossibility for your brain to maintain a high-intensity stress response while your eyes are in this state. You just force-closed the stress loop.
